Kepa: Made a brilliant save to stop Danny da Costa’s volley during the game and ensured Chelsea won the shootout by saving two penalties. Hero of the night. 9/10

Azpilicueta: Had a difficult game in right-back before moving to defence after Christensen’s injury. Was charged up in extra time and saw his penalty saved during shootout.

Luiz: Awful mistake led to Luka Jovic’s equaliser. He lost concentration as he switched off to allow Jovic even the scoreline. Scored a brilliant penalty nevertheless. 6/10

Christensen: Solid in the first half but Chelsea’s defence started to shake in the second-half after Eintracht equalised. Went off injured in the second-half. 6/10

Emerson: Went down the wing as expected, but his final balls were lacking. Caught out defensively at times. 6/10

Jorginho: Had a good game and scored a decent penalty. Controlled the midfield in the first-half but the second-half got difficult. Pressed with intensity. 8/10

Kovacic: Very sloppy performance and rash in tackles. Beats me how he managed to play the entire game. 4/10

Loftus-Cheek: Scored Chelsea’s only goal of the game and seemed to be Chelsea’s major threat. 8/10

Willian: Had a good first-half but seemed off after Eintracht scored. Subbed off for Pedro after the hour mark. 5/10

Hazard: Assisted Loftus-Cheek with a lovely through ball and seemed to have a good first-half. Was poor in the second-half as his dribbles were no longer clicking. Scored the winning penalty that sealed our trip to Baku. 7/10

Giroud: Definitely his worst Europa League performance. Didn’t have an impact tonight. 4/10

Subs

Pedro: Came on for Willian and seemed to be worse than the Brazilian. His quality was poor tonight. 4/10

Zappacosta: Added life to our attack from the right flank after replacing the injured Christensen. Created a good outlet from the right flank and his shots troubled the Eintracht goalkeeper.

Barkley: Added energy to Chelsea’s midfield after replacing Loftus-Cheek in the 85th minute. Scored his penalty. 7/10

Higuain: Was as poor as Giroud after replacing the Frenchman. 4/10

Sarri: His decisions were poor in the second-half as he took off Loftus-Cheek who was Chelsea’s most dangerous player rather than Kovacic who was having a poor game and also a yellow card. Couldn’t react to Eintracht’s goal with a tactical setup that’ll ensure Chelsea took back total control of the midfield. 4/10
