Mohamed Salah celebrated with Liverpool’s players after their win over Barcelona (LFCTV) Mohamed Salah jokingly asked James Milner if he needed to cancel his holiday after Liverpool’s dramatic Champions League comeback against Barcelona at Anfield.
Jurgen Klopp’s side looked set to be eliminated at the semi-final stage following Barcelona’s 3-0 victory at Camp Nou last week. But Liverpool scored four without reply at Anfield to complete a remarkable turnaround and book their place in the Champions League final on June 1.
Salah was ruled out of the return leg against Barcelona after he was stretchered off following a collision with Martin Dubravka during Liverpool’s 3-2 win against Newcastle United on Saturday.
But Liverpool’s top scorer this season was in attendance at Anfield on Tuesday night to witness his side’s remarkable revival against the Spanish champions. Salah joined Liverpool’s players and coaching staff on the pitch for their celebrations in front of the supporters after the full-time whistle.
But Liverpool’s official video channel also filmed the jubilant celebrations in the dressing room after the match, and caught Salah sharing a joke with Milner. Salah asked the Liverpool midfielder with a smile: ‘Have you planned to go on holiday?’ Looks like Salah and Milner will have to settle for a short city break in Madrid at the start of June.
